What. A. Night. πŸ†βœ¨

Last night, we kicked off the 2026 UK StartUp Awards Regional Finals in London and what a start it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Vue Leicester Square to celebrate the incredible founders, businesses and people making waves across the capital.

Congratulations again to all of our winners and finalists, and thank you for making it such a special evening πŸ‘

Now it's time to do it all again... East of England, we'll see you tonight πŸ™Œ

This is the big one. πŸ†

A huge congratulations to Sealeo and founders Emanuele Griccioli and Diana Epel, not only our 2026 London Green StartUp of the Year, but our Overall London Winner. The best of everything this city had to offer this year.

They're taking on something most of us never think about: the single-use polystyrene that medicine ships in, which lingers for centuries. Their answer is seaweed, packaging grown from marine biomass that outperforms the plastic it replaces, with 30% better thermal resistance.

To come out on top in a field this strong takes something special, and Sealeo have it. They'll now carry London's name to the national final at Ideas Fest this September, and we genuinely can't wait to see where they take it from here. 🌍🌱

And a special congratulations to the Karri.io team, founded by Mehul Botadra, Carsten Zimmermann and Peter Clifford, our 2026 London Judges' Choice winner! πŸ†

Parents are stuck choosing between a smartphone and nothing at all. Karri built the middle ground, a screen-free device for 5 to 11-year-olds with voice messaging, GPS and parental controls, and deliberately no apps, screens or open internet.

The entry that stood out to our judges. We'll be cheering them on at the national final at Ideas Fest this September. πŸ‘

A huge congratulations to Michelle Devits of 36 Studios, our 2026 London Young Entrepreneur of the Year! πŸ†

So many brands pour money into content with no real strategy holding it together. Michelle started 36 Studios during the pandemic and built exactly that missing piece, a strategy-led studio working across brand, content, marketing and media for luxury and founder-led names.

An inspiring win for a young founder going places. See her at the national final at Ideas Fest this September. πŸŽ‰

Huge congratulations to Savannah Price and Ehsan Faridifar of Serene, our 2026 London Technology StartUp of the Year! πŸ†

Most financial systems only step in once the damage is done. Serene reads the signals earlier, using behavioural intelligence to spot when someone may be heading into difficulty, vulnerability or a scam, often well before the usual warning signs appear.

Technology pointed at something that matters. Next stop, the national final at Ideas Fest this September. πŸ‘

Congratulations to Charlie Hart and Oliver Daniel of GiveWheel, our 2026 London StartUp For Good! πŸ†

Online giving has stayed stubbornly rigid, usually tying supporters to a single cause. GiveWheel rebuilt it as the UK's most customisable multi-charity platform, letting people split their giving however they like, and keeping fees low so more lands with the charities.

Good built right into the model. On to the national final at Ideas Fest this September. πŸ’›

A big congratulations to Abbas Kazmi and Karim Fawaz of PLAYBACK Sports AI, our 2026 London Rising Star! πŸ†

The AI cameras, GPS and analytics that develop elite athletes are priced miles out of grassroots sport. PLAYBACK pulled them into one affordable platform that's already powering tens of thousands of players, every single weekend.

A rising star if ever there was one. We can't wait to see them at the national final at Ideas Fest this September. ⭐

Hats off to Hanan Tantush and Intotum, our 2026 London Retail and E-Commerce StartUp of the Year! πŸ†

Mainstream fashion is rarely cut for disabled bodies, leaving style and function as an either-or. Intotum closes that gap with adaptive clothing co-designed with the disabled community, with details like seated-cut trousers and one-handed fastenings shaped through real wear-testing.

A win that matters. We'll be cheering her on at the national final at Ideas Fest this September. πŸ‘

Congratulations to Jemma Redpath and JAMY Business Support, our 2026 London Professional Services StartUp of the Year! πŸ†

Plenty of surveyors are brilliant at the work but were never shown how to run a business. JAMY became the engine behind them, handling everything from enquiries and systems to branding and recruitment, and now sits behind thousands of property surveys a year.

A quietly brilliant win. See them at the national final at Ideas Fest this September. πŸŽ‰

A big congratulations to the Qube OOH team, founded by Shahkeh Petros, Fergus Pack, Daniel Carey and Jack Amber, our 2026 London Marketing and Advertising StartUp of the Year! πŸ†

As the Out-of-Home world races to automate, Qube made a point of keeping people at the centre, pairing planning technology with experienced specialists and building campaigns on long-term relationships across the whole supply chain.

A win for doing it properly. We'll be cheering them on at the national final at Ideas Fest this September. πŸ‘
