Canterbury Remembrance Day 2025

The Squadron joined the city this morning in remembering those who did not come home.

We will remember them.

As well as the parade, we also supported with wreath laying and also cadets gave readings during the Cathedral service. All did us proud.

• A detailed knowledge check to assess their understanding of RAFAC, its values and responsibilities
• A prioritisation exercise to highlight decision-making and leadership under pressure
• Creating a development plan for Junior NCO’s, showcasing the applicant’s vision for mentoring and growth within the squadron

All those who applied demonstrated exceptional commitment, insight, and professionalism. We are incredibly proud of how well each of you performed. Your dedication to the squadron and its future is truly commendable.

Congratulations to FS Bradbury, FS Slowe, Sgt Fisher and Sgt Taylor. Your hard work has paid off, and we look forward to seeing you thrive in your new roles.

Bronze Leadership Weekend

This weekend, we proudly hosted a fantastic Bronze Leadership Course at Leros Barracks, welcoming cadets from across the Wing to begin their leadership journey!

Over two packed days, cadets explored the foundations of leadership through both theory and practical sessions, covering:

✅ Introducing Leadership – What leadership means and why it matters
✅ Understanding Leadership – Exploring different styles and approaches
✅ Implementing Leadership – Applying leadership in team and task settings
✅ Delivering Leadership – Leading with confidence and purpose

Day 1 focused on building knowledge and insight, while Day 2 challenged cadets to put their learning into action through dynamic and engaging practical exercises.
