A brilliant way to round off the half term as we welcomed ten fantastically talented Year 5 & 6 musicians from Bridge Primary School to join forces with some of our Year 7 Orchestra for an afternoon of music-making together, directed by Mr Miles. It was fantastic to see the students rehearsing, performing and getting to know one another through music!
There’s plenty to look forward to next half term too, including our Year 7 & 8 production of Newsies, our annual ArtsFest celebrations, the Commemoration Service at Canterbury Cathedral, weekly Transition Orchestra rehearsals with our incoming Year 6 students, and much more besides!
A huge well done to all involved for such a positive and musical end to the term!

(4/4) No Chamber Choir concert would quite be complete without Big Yellow Taxi making an appearance somewhere in the programme!
One of the choir’s favourites, this performance brought plenty of energy, character, and fun to the The Canterbury Voices Scholarship Fund Concert this weekend — and was clearly enjoyed by performers and audience alike! Thanks to Dr Boyle for organising the concert and directing the chamber choir!

(3/4) A beautiful performance of Beauty and the Beast from our Chamber Choir at the weekend’s Canterbury Voices Scholarship Fund Concert, featuring a superb solo from Poppy.
A lovely moment in the programme, performed with warmth, sensitivity, and some stunning singing from all involved.

(2/4) A fantastic performance from our Chamber Choir this weekend with Coro das Macadeiras, a piece based on a traditional Portuguese folk song.
Full of rhythmic energy and character, the choir captured the spirit of the music brilliantly and brought so much colour and atmosphere to the performance at The Canterbury Voices Scholarship Fund Concert.

(1/4) Our Chamber Choir were in superb form this weekend, performing as part of the The Canterbury Voices Scholarship Fund Concert in Canterbury.
A wonderful evening of music-making alongside some fantastic musicians, all in support of providing opportunities for young musicians!
To start, Viva La Musica (Long Live Music!), performed with real energy and joy, celebrating exactly what music-making is all about: singing together, sharing performances, and bringing people together through music.

Here is a very short piece of film from a brilliant afternoon at St Stephen’s Primary School in Canterbury with our Year 7 & 8 Choir directed by Mrs Beer and accompanied by Mr FB, who performed to the whole school and received a fantastic reception from pupils and staff alike.

The choir sang superbly and represented the school brilliantly — a lovely opportunity to share music with the wider community and inspire some future singers along the way. Thank you to everyone at St Stephen’s for such a warm welcome!!

What a fantastic evening of instrumental music at St Peter’s tonight. From the power and colour of the orchestra to the brilliant chamber groups, bands and ensembles throughout the programme, every performer brought such energy, commitment and musicianship to the concert.
It was especially lovely to celebrate such a wide range of music-making in one evening — and a reminder of just how much talent, hard work and teamwork goes into every rehearsal and performance.
With this being our last major concert before the exam season begins, we wish all of our Year 11 and Year 13 students the very best of luck. We are incredibly proud of you all. 🎶
