Torrisdale Castle Estate is located on Kintyre’s east coast, with fabulous views across the Kilbrannan Sound.

Our superb range of self-catering properties on Kintyre's east coast provide accommodation for groups of between 2 and 6 people. The estate offers the perfect opportunity to experience the comforts of modern day living whilst relaxing within a stunning and stress-free environment. Breaks are available for a minimum of 3 nights throughout the year. We are also home to where you can enjoy distillery tours, gin school and a wonderful cafe.

🍂🍂Summer, it’s been fabulous. Thanks for the memories but it’s time to move on to our favourite season - HELLO AUTUMN! 🍂🍂

Torrisdale is glorious in September and October and is the perfect place to get away from it all and reset after the heady summer temperatures.

Located on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsula, the estate sits right on a beautiful, sheltered stretch of coastline looking out over the Kilbrannan Sound toward the Isle of Arran.

🦦 An ‘otterly’ wonderful sighting at Port Bahn!

Our South Lodge guests, John and Liz, were lucky enough to catch this wee chap enjoying a snack on the rocks. John captured these amazing photos – no mean feat as otters can be incredibly elusive. This was around 4pm in the afternoon.

Quick tips if you're heading down to spot them:

🦦Bring binoculars: Give them plenty of space so they stay relaxed and stick around.
🦦Keep dogs on a lead: Surprising an otter on the rocks can spook them back into deep water fast.
🦦Look for the "V" shape: If you see a small, silent wake cutting through calm water near the shore, that’s usually your cue!

Join us this SATURDAY! We’re firing up our seaside wood-fired sauna again this Saturday - 5th September. We have a later afternoon private session already booked but have opened up two public sessions - 11am and 12.30pm.

🌊 A refreshing, bracing plunge straight into the calm waters of the Kilbrannan Sound
