The garden is open daily from 11 - 4. Parking for 6 cars at the house. All proceeds to local chariti A beautiful private 5 acre garden.

Vast collection of rhododendrons, camellias, shrubs, herbaceous, ponds and wildflower meadows. The garden is mainly sloping with superb views to Arran and Ayrshire. Many interesting features including fountain sculptures and analemma, fruit and vegetable garden. The garden is three miles north of Campbeltown on the Carradale road. 200 metres after the 40mph sign down the steep hill take a right tu

rn befor you reach the big sign for Peninver. It is a double entrance so take the tarred road for 300 metres to the house where there is parking for six cars.

A week ago I had a big operation on my hand…feeling sorry for myself! I had a first wee walk in the garden today and spied this happy little bee! Whoever left it….you will never know how much it cheered me up. Thank you. Just five more weeks in plaster, it will have a few visits.

Spring has arrived! Everything is growing fast. Maybe next month we will be able to share the garden again.

We may be in the middle of a bleak winter with suffering everywhere but spring will come and we have to keep hoping for better things. The garden gives us a bit of hope that we are turning the corner.

We have missed visitors this year but as we hope to welcome you again in 2021. The garden is going into winter mode as the trees lose their leaves and the autumn colours...Lots of clearing up awaits.

Sadly this little owl is not going to survive. It is the smallest of the three born this year and the storm last night hasn't helped. The other two seem fine!
The magnolias in the garden are beautiful and Magnolia wilsonii with a fabulous perfume now hangs over the path.

It's hard not sharing the garden in this beautiful weather and we are missing the visitors. There are over 400 different Rhododendron varieties so this time of year is quite spectacular. It's difficult to think of a missing colour.

Beautiful weather after a wet winter and it's nice to have longer daylight. Everything is growing very fast now..too fast. The magnolias are magnificent this year but the species rhododendrons less so.

Two new wee lawnmowers arrived this week. The fairies are in lockdown but managed to repaint a door. Camellias in full bloom and the fritillaries and magnolias are coming out
