🚨AN URGENT PLEA 🙏

Spring is the busiest season and we are in desperate need of donations for the orphaned and injured wildlife coming in.

So many local rescues have closed and the lack of donations is usually a huge contributing factor.
We have had two donations so far this year. Please help us help the animals. 🙏🦊

Our first fox cub of the Spring season has just arrived this morning. Isn’t she adorable. She was found by a lovely caring family, and she was freezing cold and riddled with fleas in a back garden in the middle of Cambridge. No sign of mum coming back at all sadly. I can’t even breathe

Bruno isn’t well. 😓

He’s been quiet and lethargic for three days. I’ve been trying to give him special formula, but he’s been throwing it back up.
It’s my day off work today and he has been glued to me, cuddly but quite listless.
I managed to get an emergency appointment with a fantastic exotics vet this evening.
He’s physically fine, so we’ve taken a full panel of bloods and he has had antiemetic injections. We are starting antibiotics now in case it’s something like psittacosis.
We came out of the vets £400 lighter but hopefully the blood tests will give us some more information about what is going on.

My poor boy. He’s my best mate. He has such a wonderful life, free flying every day and enjoying the life that most pet trade birds could only dream of.
Please, please, please send thoughts and prayers for the big boy. I’d be lost without him. 😓

What a generous Christmas gift from and their customers!
Just look what they have donated to the sanctuary 😍

💚300g Peanuts
💚200g Almonds
💚200g Cashews
💚500g Pumpkin seeds
💚650g Sunflower seeds
💚900g Oats
💚450g Apple rings
💚600g Cranberries
💚2.9kg Muesli They also collected £32 from the donation jar! On top of that they were completely blown away earlier this week when an amazing customer & her husband donated a HUGE £400 😱 What a lovely and generous couple. Thank you to all the Greenweigh Shop customers for their huge kindness and a MASSIVE thank you to the amazing Kelly, who owns for her constant and continued support and generosity to the animals. We are so humbled and grateful 🙏❤️🎄

TURNIP 🦡

Turnip our little orphaned badger cub is now 5 weeks old and growing fast.
She’s drinking from a bottle now and heartily guzzling down her formula milk.
She’s been a dream to hand rear.
No sudden dips in weight or worries about aspiration pneumonia.
She’s noisy but adorable 😍

Her eyes have just opened and she’s taking her first blurry look at the world. At this point she will be trying to imprint so it’s important that we pair her with other badger cubs. She will soon be joining some other young orphaned cubs and they will be an instant family! 😍

A HUGE thank you to for their incredibly helpful donations of healthy and organic nuts, seeds, dried fruits and oats for the animals here at Kingfisher.
They have a donations board up in their shop where people can purchase a few bits and then it’s tallied and delivered to Kingfisher when the board is full.
Why not drop it and visit them on Sawston High Street and browse their amazing selection of goods?
Another huge thank you to everyone that donated through the shop and as always a massive thank you to for being amazingly supportive of the animals!
