A Survey for Disabled Students, By Disabled Students

Disabled Students’ Support Satisfaction Survey

Description
This survey has been created by disabled students for disabled students of the University of Cambridge to collect objective, quantitative data about disabled students’ experiences with support and assistance throughout the University. This is not just about services provided by the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre (ADRC). We want to understand your daily living experience, support from your College and Department, interactions with other people in the community, and how supported you feel. We plan to analyse the data and use it to advocate on behalf of all of us, to ensure that we have a positive, equal, and wonderful experience whilst we are attending the University.

Confidentiality
Your responses will remain confidential. You will have the opportunity to provide your contact information — for our use only — if you are willing to participate in any follow-up surveys or interviews. Providing this information is completely voluntary and will not be shared with any outside party, including your Department or College, without your express permission.
Why are we doing this?

During conversations with one another, we have found shared and overlapping experiences that seem to be unique to disabled students. We shared frustrations and sorrows. That made us wonder how many other people face the same issues but are led to believe that they are the problem. So we decided to ask.

How can I be part of the solution?
The more voices we have, the stronger we are! Sign up for our new mailing list to be kept apprised of results, actions, and activities. And thank you! We’re better together!

Please make sure to answer the relevant questions when requesting to join a group, and to stick to the group rules. If you feel there is a group missing that would be valuable to have, comment below and if there is enough interest, we'll create new groups.

In order to keep our groups relevant and helpful to all members, we’d like to remind everyone that these groups are primarily intended for current University of Cambridge students. If you are a former student within a group that still finds it a helpful and supportive space, then you are very welcome to stay. However, if you have outgrown the space (or maybe forgot we even existed!) then we won’t be offended if you decide to leave the group.

Please note that admins will NOT be removing members or policing membership in any way… this is just our occasional reminder for members to consider whether our groups are still the right space for them.

If you’d like to keep up to date with the work of the Disabled Students’ Campaign, then you can follow us on Facebook (Cambridge SU Disabled Students' Campaign), on Instagram (), or on Twitter ().
