(15-21 June) is just around the corner! https://refugeeweek.org

Cambridgeshire Libraries and Cambridgeshire County Council both have Sanctuary status and we’re proud to play a role in welcoming people into our communities.

To mark the occasion, why not join us at Wisbech Library on Tuesday 16 June (7-9pm) for a free screening of this year's Refugee Week films? This will be a chance to come together, learn, and reflect on the experiences of people seeking safety. Stay afterwards for an open conversation and light refreshments.

Book your free place on Eventbrite or just come along: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/film-screening-tickets-1991156913930

On Saturday 20 June (2-3pm), you can come along to Cambourne Library for an event with author Manish Chauhan. He will introduce his novel, Belgrave Road, a love story and powerful portrait of the lived realities of immigrants in Britain.

Tickets £3; book at the library or by contacting [email protected].

Lastly, you can also join us at Cambridge Central Library on Saturday 20 June, when we’ll be hosting a Refugee Week Community Fair (11am-3pm). You can come along to meet a range of local organisations and find out what makes Cambridge a place of welcome. There will also be drop-in activities including crafts, board games, embroidery, a very special storytime and more.

Free and all welcome. For more details and to register your interest, visit our Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/refugee-week-community-fair-at-cambridge-central-library-tickets-1990180031047
