In our area, if you have your own wheelie bins you can simply pop batteries in a small bag, tie or seal it shut, and leave on top of any wheelie bin lid on collection day.

If you live in a flat, please take batteries to a drop-off point. All large shops selling batteries, and most smaller ones like Co-ops etc have a battery recycling bin.

Vapes contain batteries too, these can also be recycled at v**e shops or supermarkets.

Larger batteries from e-bikes or similar are some of the worst culprits for starting fires. These can be recycled at Halfords or one of the large Recycling Centres near Milton or Thriplow.
