πŸ† A fantastic week of sporting success for CSIA students! πŸ†

Our students have been representing the school brilliantly at the Cornwall School Games, achieving some outstanding results across rounders and athletics.

On Wednesday, our Year 8 rounders team were crowned champions after an unbeaten tournament, winning four matches and drawing one to finish in 1st place. What an achievement! πŸ‘

Thursday saw Year 7 and Year 10 students compete in the Cornwall School Games Super 6s Finals. The Year 7 team performed brilliantly throughout the day, while the Year 10 team produced an exceptional display to win the overall event and become Cornwall champions. πŸ₯‡

There were also some incredible individual performances:

⭐ Bella G – 1st in 100m and Long Jump
⭐ Mandipa R – 1st in Javelin

⭐ Elise P – 1st in 800m
⭐ Katie K – 1st in 300m

We are incredibly proud of every student who represented the school. Their commitment, determination and teamwork have been outstanding, and these results are thoroughly deserved.

πŸ’œ Hattie’s fundraising journey continues πŸ’œ

We’re delighted to share that our incredible CSMS Head Girl, Hattie, has now raised Β£1,328 towards her Β£7,500 target for The Little Princess Trust πŸ‘

Ten years after donating her hair and raising Β£1,000 for the charity, Hattie is once again stepping up to make a difference. This time, she has pledged that if she reaches her ambitious fundraising target, she will shave all of her hair off in support of children and young people experiencing hair loss.

Every pound raised helps The Little Princess Trust provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatment and other conditions, while also funding vital childhood cancer research.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Your generosity has already helped Hattie reach nearly 18% of her target, but there is still a long way to go.

If you would like to support this fantastic cause, please consider making a donation or sharing Hattie’s fundraising page:

We're incredibly proud of Hattie’s determination, compassion and courage. Let’s see how far we can help her go.

🎁 Can you help make our House Auctions even more exciting?

At the end of every term, students use the House Points they have worked hard to earn to bid on prizes donated by staff, parents and local businesses. These auctions are always a highlight of the term and help celebrate students' effort, commitment and achievement.

We're looking for donations of all sizes, including:

🎟️ Gift vouchers
⚽ Sports equipment and games
🧱 Lego and toys
🐴 Experiences such as horse riding, gymnastics or activity sessions
🎁 Any other items or services you think students would love

You don't need to be a parent to donate – anyone can get involved. Local businesses are especially welcome, and we'll be happy to promote your business through our social media channels and during the auction itself.

If you'd like to donate, please complete our quick form below:

A huge thank you to Helen from Cornish Cabbage Plants for her incredibly generous donation to our school garden.

Helen kindly gifted us a whole tray of cabbage plants, including several different varieties, all ready for planting. Thanks to her support, our students were able to get them straight into the ground yesterday and they're already becoming part of our growing garden.

Experiences like these help students learn about food production, sustainability and the journey from seed to plate, and we're so grateful for the support of local businesses and community members who help make it possible.

Thank you, Helen, for your kindness and generosity – we can't wait to see the cabbages flourish over the coming months. 🌱πŸ₯¬

🌱🍽️ Exciting News: Our Community Feast is Coming! 🍽️🌱

On Thursday 25 June 2026, our students will be hosting a very special Community Feast, bringing together guests from across Cornwall to celebrate healthy, sustainable and locally sourced food.

Over the past few months, students have been growing produce in our polytunnels, researching seasonal ingredients, working with local suppliers, creating menus, producing media content and preparing to cook and serve a meal that showcases the very best of what school food can be.

This is much more than a dinner. It is a student-led project designed to promote healthy eating, sustainability and an understanding of where our food comes from. The feast will feature ingredients grown by our students alongside produce sourced from local Cornish farmers and suppliers, with every dish free from ultra-processed ingredients.

Throughout the evening, guests will hear directly from students about what they have learned and how they have helped bring the event to life.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, commitment and creativity our students have shown in making this vision a reality.

We look forward to sharing photos, videos and highlights from the event and celebrating the achievements of everyone involved.

πŸ‡βœ¨ Proud Moments at Hickstead! βœ¨πŸ‡

We are incredibly proud of our CSIA Equestrian Team, who recently returned from the prestigious National Schools Equestrian Championships at Hickstead after representing the school with skill, determination and outstanding sportsmanship at one of the most iconic equestrian venues in the UK.

A huge congratulations to Eleanor N, Evie J, Poppy H, Thomas R, Lexie R and Martha H, who all rode brilliantly across the Show Jumping and Arena Eventing competitions. Competing against some of the best school riders in the country, our Show Jumping Team achieved a fantastic 12th place, while Lexie R secured an excellent individual 9th place finish.

Our Arena Eventing team also delivered superb performances, narrowly missing out on the placings but showcasing tremendous talent, resilience and teamwork throughout.

Beyond the results, the riders were wonderful ambassadors for the school, supporting one another and embracing every moment of the experience. Despite the scorching temperatures, spirits remained high, and a memorable water fight provided some much-needed relief from the heat!

A special thank you goes to everyone in our school and wider community who supported the team on their journey. Through your encouragement, generosity and belief in our young riders, you helped make their dreams a reality by giving them the opportunity to compete at the very highest level of school equestrian sport and at the UK's premier showground. Your support means so much and has created memories that will last a lifetime.

Well done to all of our riders. You have done yourselves, your families and the entire CSIA community proud. We look forward to seeing what you achieve next! πŸ΄πŸ’™
