147 (Camborne and District) Squadron provides all young adults from the ages of 12 to 18 with an opportunity to develop a wide variety of skills and the ability to take part in activities that most young people can only dream about.

As part of National Cadets Week 2026, we’re holding a Skills for Life: Career Café for our cadets.

We’re hoping to welcome at least eight guests, who will each chat informally with small groups of cadets about their work, experiences and journey through life. We’ve already received some fantastic responses, but we’re still hoping to fill all eight guest spaces.

We welcome people from all jobs, backgrounds and walks of life. You don’t need an unusual career or a formal presentation—just a willingness to talk about your experiences and answer a few questions.

Each Awards Evening, we take a moment to look back at how the Squadron has changed over the years.

Following several years of significant growth, we are now entering a welcome period of stability.

We will continue to grow and develop, but at a steady and sustainable pace—building on strong foundations through small, meaningful steps.

We are incredibly proud of how far the Squadron has come and excited to see what the next year brings.
