๐Ÿ’ฅAerosols cans can explode if they come into contact with fire. Please don't put them on bonfires, even if you think they are empty! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

We are seeing an increase in incidents where aerosols have been deliberately placed in a fire. This is extremely dangerous! Even if it feels empty it still contains pressurised gasses that expand rapidly when heated. This turns an ordinary can of deodorant or spray paint into an unpredictable explosive.

The blast can cause life-changing burns and injuries from razor-sharp flying debris. Please help keep friends, families and communities safe.

๐ŸšจIf you see an emergency, call 999 immediately๐Ÿšจ

๐ŸŒธ It's Dementia Action Week and there are a number of steps that our community can do to help people with dementia:

โœ… Make sure they have a smoke alarm and if necessary, a carbon monoxide detector.
โœ… Help keep them safe by ensuring their escape routes in the event of fire are easy to navigate.
โœ… If emergency services are needed, keep a list of who to contact near their phone.
