Old meets Ancient, high up on the Penwith moors sits an ancient stone circle nestled amongst Heather and gorse , Boskednan Stone Circle makes a great visit, probably a place of ritual purposes for the nearby residents of the bronze age settlement which really gets overlooked by all but the hardent enthusiastic stone botheres, More will know Men an tol which is close, I wonder if the two circles were once connected I expect so , now we just have the holed stone more or less left to visualize!

Neolithic long barrows are some of the oldest monuments in the British landscape, built over 5,000 years ago by early farming communities. These long, mound-like structures were used as burial sites, often holding multiple individuals and reflecting strong beliefs about ancestry and the afterlife.
Many were carefully constructed using earth, timber, and stone, and some even had chambers inside where the dead were placed. Today, they stand as powerful reminders of how our prehistoric ancestors honored their dead and connected with the land.
Next time you’re out in the countryside, you might just be walking past one of these ancient landmarks without even realizing it.
