Please find attached details of the new DICE Parenting Courses being delivered by the Exceed Team at Barnardo’s.

The DICE Parenting Courses are designed to provide practical guidance and support for parents and carers, helping them build positive relationships and confidence in their parenting.

If any parents or carers are interested in attending, they simply need to complete the referral form (accessible via the QR code or link on the flyer) and email it to [email protected].

Callington Community College earn highest GCSE results in its history!

A massive well done to our most brilliant students who made history for the College today, with 53% earning two grade 5s and above in English and Maths and a whopping 70% earning grade 4 and above in both - not to mention, the highest number of grade 9s ever!

You have made us all so very proud: your humour, community commitment, resilience and perseverance and sheer determination are a genuine inspiration. You have left a lasting impact and legacy.

We are exceptionally proud of our Key Stage 5 results - particularly so, of our students who have worked so incredibly hard over the last two years. Their determination, passion for their studies and chosen fields has been truly inspiring.

They have achieved a fantastic set of results, all reaching their chosen next pathway with an incredible number going on to university.

79% of results were A*, A and B grades, an improvement of 24% on last year's results.

They have been a truly exceptional cohort and we want to thank them for their brilliant contributions - you leave a lasting legacy and big shoes to fill!

Since the start of the FIFA World Cup, students at CCC have been reading football themed books from our school library, and reviewing them, in order to gain an entry to win the official FIFA World Cup football.

Congratulations to Levi, who was drawn out of the hat. Levi was surprised and delighted to win, and a number of other students enjoyed playing with the ball at lunchtime.

Yesterday, Year 8 STEM students went on a trip to Hannafore. They were led through a day of rock pooling activities by Heather, a marine expert, who volunteers for Cornwall Wildlife Trust and other marine charities.

Animals discovered included starfish, hermit crabs, scorpion fish, a lobster and a giant spider crab!

The students had a great day out learning about ecosystems and preservation of marine life.
