Little Reddings School Councillors took part in a collaborative project involving and . They presented on inclusion and equity within little Reddings, they showed great confidence and they were excellent role models. This was the final part of our collaboration as Little Reddings also joined Bushey Meads student parliament earlier in the year. A big thank you to Miss Bacon, Mrs Bladon from Hartsbourne and Mr Knowles from Bushey Meads for their collaboration this year.

Huge huge thank you to Mike our resident DJ! He volunteered his whole day to support the children during aspiration week and for our school DJ. He led a school assembly which ignited and excited the children all about life as a DJ, he then ran 6 workshops across the whole day for children from year 1-6 to experience. The children learnt about mixing songs together and how different genres of music work together. Another fantastic highlight from our Aspirations Week! ⚽
A huge thank you to James, our visiting football coach, for delivering such an exciting and inspiring workshop for our pupils. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting involved, learning new skills and taking part in the activities throughout the session.
Thank you for your energy, encouragement and for inspiring our pupils through sport. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, teamwork and confidence shine through during the workshop.

We welcomed Mark from Herts Music into our half termly music celebration assembly, he gave the children an insight into how learning to play an instrument has changed his life. He now not only supports developing music across schools in Hertfordshire he also is the lead flute player in an Orchestra in Ireland. The children then all performed for him and he was very impressed with all of their talents!

Huge thank you to Katie from Alcatel Submarine Networks who came into school to showcase her role to several children. The children learnt about how internet cables are installed across the oceans. The children were amazed and fascinated to learn that this is how they can watch Netflix and play computer games when they go on holiday, they were even more impressed to learn that some of these fibre optic cables are made in Greenwich! Thank you so much Katie for inspiring the next generation of engineers!

What an amazing week we have had for Aspirations Week!
We have been so lucky to welcome so many wonderful volunteers into school to inspire our children and share their talents and career journeys. Here is the first of our highlights from the week!
A huge thank you to Lauren, who came in to showcase her incredible hairdressing skills with our children. 💇‍♀️✂️ They had an amazing time learning new skills, asking lots of questions and getting a real insight into the world of hairdressing.
It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm, creativity and confidence shine throughout the session. They thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience!

This year, the Hertfordshire Music Service Digital Choir celebrated with the song We Get Up Again by Emily Barden, bringing schools across Hertfordshire together to celebrate resilience and community.

Last Friday, we were delighted to host our second annual Bushey KS1 Singing Festival and what a joyful celebration of music it was!
A big thank you to and for joining us and helping make the event so special. It was wonderful to see the children performing with such enthusiasm, confidence and smiles.
And of course thank you to Mrs Chase and Mrs Tomkins-Leach for organising and hosting such a fantastic event.
We are already looking forward to next year! 🎤✨
