‼️CALLING SCHOOLS and EARLY YEARS SETTINGS‼️....
As you may be aware the GMCA Early Years Application is now available FREE for all early years settings in Bury.

Before the summer break🌞we uploaded some of our Early Years Practitioners from PVI settings onto the application. We are continuing to do this, but would also like to hear from schools with early years provision, who may also be interested in using the application.

💻⌨️The next training sessions are listed on the flier below. These have been scheduled to help you understand how the app works, and how it can support you in your setting👍

I Am Reception | Practical Ideas, Professional Discussion & Support 23 September

Join us for the next session in our popular I Am... series: I Am Reception, taking place on 23rd September at East Ward Primary School.

Aimed at all staff working in Reception, this session will support both new and experienced practitioners by providing opportunities to ask questions, share experiences, and explore effective practice and provision.
The focus is on the realities of working in Reception and will explore areas such as, developing high-quality interactions, and understanding the learning opportunities that exist beyond planned activities.
The session also includes a couple of interactive elements. The first is a Solution Circle, which can be completed anonymously if preferred. Participants are invited to share any challenges they may be experiencing, whether related to timetables, making the most of the day, behaviour, or any other aspect of practice. The group can then discuss ideas, share strategies, and offer support based on their own experiences.
The second activity is Share Your Shelf or Share Your Space, which can also be anonymous. Participants can share photographs of their learning environments, and colleagues attending the session can offer supportive suggestions and ideas on how the space might be used most effectively.

To reserve your place, please email: [email protected].

Don’t forget the updated versions of the EYFS Statutory Framework come into force today, any questions please email [email protected]

The early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework is mandatory for all early years settings. It sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well, and are kept healthy and safe.
