If you visit Thurston Library over the school holidays 4 times (or more of you want to!) Children from ages 2-12 can take part in our Curious Creatures Reading Quest! Sign up from this weekend to receive your free case file in which you collect special stickers every time you visit!

There is also a character hunt, activity sheets and 2 special activities you can book onto as well as a special ceremony in September where all children who complete the Quest will receive a medal and certificate.

The Reading Quest runs from 18th July -31st August and just requires 4 visits and an interest in exploring books!

Reading Quest Craft at Thurston Library!
Tuesday 21st July 2.30 and 3.45.

We have 2 free 45 minute sessions for 5-12yr olds to create beach flags with decorations using natural materials.

Perfect for days at the seaside!

Important notice: Thurston Library will be closed tomorrow (Saturday 4th July).

Please pop your returns in the red box if they are due back and they will be backdated accordingly when we open on Sunday.

Or you can return your items to another library if you prefer but please check opening times/Social media pages beforehand.

The library will open as usual on Sunday 5th July.

Thurston Library is hosting a Special Hedgehog Awareness day in partnership with Thurston Hedgehog Group!

When? Saturday 9th May
2 sessions to choose from -
10 30-11 45 and 1.00-2 15.

Specifically for children of primary school age, come along to learn how to care for our prickly friends and enjoy a story too!

This is a free event but as places are limited, please book your space by calling Thurston Library on 01359 359560 during open hours or email [email protected].

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Any donations given in the day would go to Suffolk Hedgehog Hospital, Ousden.
