Paulet High School & 6th Form College

Paulet High School & 6th Form College http://www.paulet.co.uk Paulet High School was established in 1975 to cater for children of all abilities, mainly from the Stapenhill area of Burton upon Trent.

In common with other High Schools in the town, it owes its name to a family prominent in local history. The school is situated on a pleasant open site and our accommodation provides all the necessary resources to meet the needs of those in its care. A major expansion of the school facilities is the new Stapenhill Post-16 Centre. This opened in November 2003 and provides further opportunities for p

upils to continue their education at the school. The Centre provides a wide range of University, College and Business links to ensure pupils develop to their full potential. The Centre will have state of the art facilities. Like all good schools we aim to provide an education which is challenging and results in young people gaining the necessary skills and qualifications needed to take an active part in society. We work hard to provide a relevant and appropriate education - enabling the pupils to cope with a rapidly changing technological society. We offer a full range of courses and subjects to cater for pupils of all abilities and aptitudes. Our staff are committed to achieving high standards of attainment and discipline. We aim to ensure that every pupil achieves his or her full potential. The relatively small size of the school means that we know our pupils well. We are a welcoming school and recognise the importance of teachers and parents working together as partners, ensuring that the best interests of all our pupils are served.

🍽️ Members of the Friday Food Club have been busy this year, enjoying the challenge of creating a lunchtime snack for their colleagues.

The Friday Food Club began several years ago as a way for staff to have a bit of fun together at the end of the week. With a different theme each time, members either cook or source food for others to taste, score and discuss, leading to plenty of friendly competition and laughter along the way.

The Autumn challenge saw staff explore traditional foods from UK counties, with an impressive 19 counties represented. Mr Tucker came out on top with his Warwickshire Stew, scoring an incredible 4.62 out of 5. Meanwhile, Mr Ryder reluctantly accepted the wooden spoon for his Scotch Pies!

The latest challenge is now underway, with members drawing a European country and a mystery ingredient to incorporate into their dish. With ingredients ranging from beetroot and lentils to capers and kimchi, the competition promises to be as inventive as ever.

Can Mr Tucker make it three victories in a row before moving on to a new school? We look forward to finding out! πŸ†πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³
