💉 Flu & COVID Vaccination Invitations Have Been Sent!

We have now sent invitations to eligible patients to book their flu and COVID vaccinations with us this autumn.

If you have received an invitation, please book your appointment with Burton Latimer Medical Centre and help us protect you, your loved ones and our wider community this winter.

💙 Help us keep our vaccination clinics running

When you choose to have your vaccination with us, you’re also supporting the future of this service at our practice.

We plan ahead and order our flu vaccines around a year in advance, based on the number of patients we expect to vaccinate. This means it’s really important that eligible patients use the vaccination service we provide.

We’re aware that some practices locally are no longer able to continue running flu clinics, as providing the service is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.
By booking your vaccination with us, you’re helping us make the best use of the vaccines we have ordered and supporting our ability to continue offering flu clinics to our patients in future years. 💙

If you’ve received an invitation, please book your appointment as soon as you can.
Thank you for continuing to support your local GP practice. 🩺

💗 Know Your Numbers! Week | 7–13 September 2026

Do you know your blood pressure numbers?

Around one in three people in the UK have high blood pressure, but many don't know they have it. High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so the only way to find out is to have your blood pressure checked.

This year's theme is “You know your age, do you know your numbers?” - reminding us that high blood pressure can affect people of all ages.
Knowing your numbers means you can take action to help keep your blood pressure under control and reduce your risk of serious health problems.

🏠 Home blood pressure monitoring is an easy way to check your numbers.

Find out more about checking your blood pressure at home and how to look after your blood pressure on the Blood Pressure UK website.

September is Urology Awareness Month
Urology Awareness Month aims to raise awareness of conditions affecting the urinary system and help people feel more comfortable talking about their symptoms.

Changes such as needing to urinate more often, difficulty passing urine, blood in your urine or ongoing pain should not be ignored.

If you're experiencing symptoms that are new, persistent or worrying you, speak to your GP. Don't be embarrassed to ask for help.

Let's get talking about urological health. Visit The Urology Foundation’s website for more information: https://www.theurologyfoundation.org/impact-achievements/campaigns/urology-awareness-month/ 💙
