🌺 Discover the Stories Behind the Names 🌺

A visit to Burry Port Memorial Gardens Cenotaph is a chance to pause, reflect and remember.

📱 A new QR code at the Cenotaph now allows visitors to discover the stories behind the names recorded on the memorial. The tile and granite base were designed and installed by Graham T Emmanuel and Darren Phillips of B M Phillips Memorials.

This project is thanks to the dedication and extensive research of local historian Graham T Emmanuel, whose work has brought the stories of 186 servicemen from Pembrey and Burry Port who lost their lives in conflicts across the world to life.

By sharing these stories, we can help ensure their sacrifice and memories are never forgotten and connect future generations with the history of our community.

📲 Simply scan the QR code with your smart phone when you visit and discover their stories.

Where: The Lighthouse Library Bookshop, Station Road, Burry Port
When: 1st & 3rd Monday of every month
Time: From 11am onwards

Please share.
