🌾 Year 6 Visit to Northwood Farm 🐑
Year 6 had a brilliant day at Northwood Farm! We met some lovely sheep—Daffodil, Yellow, Stella and Paul—who all enjoyed a good scratch 🐏💛
Farmers Phil and Gillian told us all about life on the farm, beef farming, and the high UK standards, including how all meat is fully traceable.
The children got stuck into lots of hands-on activities—making wheat, ‘milking’ a cow, delivering lambs, feeding the chickens, and even going on a bug hunt 🐞🌿
A fantastic day of learning and fun—thank you Northwood Farm!

*** Meet the team Monday ***
Hi everyone 👋
I’m Mrs Hume, Deputy Headteacher at Whittlefield. I joined the school in January 2019 as Assistant Headteacher, where I started out teaching in Year 6. In December 2020, during the pandemic, I stepped into my current role as Deputy Headteacher.
Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to teach across a range of year groups, and I’m currently the class teacher in Year 1 😊
I’m incredibly proud to be part of the ‘Whittlefield Family’. I’m passionate about supporting our children, families and staff in every aspect of school life. Working at Whittlefield is so rewarding, and that’s all thanks to our amazing children and dedicated staff who make it such a special place 💛
