Following concerns logged by residents in Bank Hall on Friday, all of which have been passed on to the relevant departments, local councillors went out to meet with residents in the affected areas and streets today on our Ward walk.

We logged any new jobs we came across from street cleansing ,to obstructions and County council casework.

Pleasing to see completed work on Thursby Road and the new sign at the junction. All new casework has been logged today.

A mixed bag as some streets were in a good condition in terms of cleanliness.

Nice to be invited into Link bridge, a wonderful building , and to see the work that is being carried out in there by the council to bring it up to an even higher spec.
Great to meet with residents today 🙌

We’re proud to support this important Prostate Cancer Testing Day on behalf of one of our incredible supporters who reached out to us to help raise awareness.

In the UK, one man dies from prostate cancer every 45 minutes, yet early detection can save lives. Sadly, many men are currently unable to access PSA testing through the NHS unless they are already showing symptoms. Events like this help provide access to potentially lifesaving testing earlier.

📍 Burnley Burnley Belvedere Football Club
đź“… Saturday 30th May
⏰ 11.00am – 2.30pm

The Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal will be offering simple PSA blood tests for men, helping make early detection more accessible.

Please help spread the word to the men in your life, dads, brothers, partners, friends and colleagues. Early detection really does matter. đź’›

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week đź’š

In Burnley, there are some fantastic local organisations offering support, advice and a listening ear, from community groups to counselling services and wellbeing programmes.

If you’re looking for support, you’re not alone. You can reach out to organisations like Burnley Together, Lancashire Women, Casual Minds Matter CIC, Lancashire Mind, Inspire Lancashire, NHS Talking Therapies and others working across our borough.

Looking after your mental health can start with something simple like getting outside. Fresh air, movement and connection can make a real difference.
