Moving on from the local elections, we want to say this clearly:
We’re still here.

Thank you to everyone who voted Green, spoke to us, shared our posts, delivered leaflets, asked questions, challenged us, or simply paid attention.

We didn’t get the result we wanted - but the reasons we stood have not gone away.

Burnley still needs warmer homes, better services, cleaner streets, safer communities, stronger public transport, and politics that listen before it talks.

So we’re not disappearing until the next election.

Real change starts locally.
And we’re ready to keep building it.

A lot of people are asking the same question right now:
“Who should I vote for to actually make a difference?”

In Burnley, the reality is simple:
📍 Some wards are close
📍 Some aren’t

If you want your vote to have the biggest impact, it’s worth understanding where it counts most.

💬 Message us if you’re unsure we’ll give you a clear, honest answer.

Voting isn’t just about change.
It’s about accountability.

When turnout is high:
✔ Councillors have to listen
✔ Decisions reflect real communities
✔ Power is shared properly

When turnout is low… that accountability disappears.

🗳️ May 7th - show up. And don't forget grab a drink AFTER you vote 😛

7 days to go.

This election is coming down to a real choice in Burnley:

📍 Division or community
📍 Noise or solutions
📍 Protest votes or practical change

In places like Brunshaw, it’s close.
That means the result isn’t decided - it’s decided by who turns up.

If you don’t want Burnley pulled in the wrong direction, this is the moment to act.

🗳️ May 7th
💚 Vote Green

1. “The Greens only care about the environment.”
This is just lazy.
Energy bills, food prices, housing, flooding, air quality - that’s all “environment”.
The Greens aren’t choosing trees over people.
They’re pointing out you can’t fix people’s lives without fixing the systems around them.

2. “A vote for the Greens is wasted.”
This is how nothing ever changes.
Local elections are often decided by a few hundred votes - sometimes less.
Greens are already winning seats.
They win when people stop writing them off before they even try.

3. “Green policies are too expensive.”
You’re already paying - just in worse ways.
Higher bills, broken services, constant crisis spending.
Green policies are about fixing the problem properly
so you stop paying for the same failures over and over again.

4. “The Greens are anti-business.”
They’re anti big corporations taking the p**s.
Small businesses?
They need lower costs, better infrastructure, and customers who can actually afford to spend.
That’s what the Greens are pushing for.

5. “The Greens want to ban everything.”
No - they want better options.
People don’t make “bad choices” for fun.
They make them because they don’t have real alternatives.
Fix the system, and the choices fix themselves.

6. “They can’t actually deliver anything.”
They already are.
Where Greens are elected, they’re improving housing, services, and local projects.
Councils have power - and Greens are using it.

The real question is: why wouldn’t you back something that’s already working?

Local elections aren’t abstract - they shape the stuff you deal with every day.
Things like:
- the state of the roads (potholes, repairs)
- fly tipping and how quickly it’s dealt with
- street cleaning and green spaces
- local environment decisions
- planning and housing in your area

These are council decisions.
So if you’ve ever thought
“why is nothing getting fixed?”
this is where that gets decided.

If you’re not sure how it all works, we’ve broken it down here 👇

A lot is being said right now about “what’s gone wrong” in the UK.

But when you actually look at it…
The differences between parties are pretty clear.

This is just a straight comparison of what’s being proposed:

- jobs
- public services
- benefits
- immigration

If you’re tired of the same arguments going in circles, it might be time to look at what actually fixes things.

If you want change, you have to vote for it.
And if you want links to the full policies/manifestos, just ask 👍
