Hello everyone! We hope you are all keeping safe and well.

The executive committee had a meeting this week regarding the coming months for the Chamber of Commerce. Part of our meeting was spent discussing that we really need some more members on our executive committee!

If this is something you would like to be involved with, please drop us a line. All we ask for is the odd hour of your time, under normal circumstances we hold bi-monthly meetings, and we aim to hold bi-monthly events too.

We are particularly interested in having more local business owners on our executive committee, so please get in touch if you would like to get involved.

🦠UPDATE🦠
As expected our big plans for a March event were squashed with the recent Covid19 pandemic.

Please be assured we are still here and operating in the background as best we can.
We are making plans for a celebratory come back with an open networking evening to re-introduce ourselves to each other and help support each other and build bridges again on the other side of this outbreak.

I appreciate times will be extremely tough for most of us whilst we ride this out. I expect a lot of businesses will be hit hard. Please remember you are not alone. Please reach out and speak with others in this group.

Please use this page to speak with others, ask for help, advertise if you are still managing to operate/work from home or whatever you see fit during these difficult times.

We are going to try and use our time wisely and structure some new posts on this page going forward for next week. Starting with ‘Member Monday’ and post about all our lovely members. So keep your 👀 peeled and help support one another during this time.

Hello everyone,

In continuation of reaching out and connecting to businesses in Burnham-on-Crouch, the chamber will be at the Town Council offices on Friday 24th between 3pm- 6pm. They are on the corner from Barclay's Bank in Burnham.

This is an opportunity for businesses, self-employed and people working from home to come and approach us and talk to us about how we can help with both internal and external opportunities or problems to your business and for YOU to tell US how we can be of service throughout business in burnham and the community.

It literally can be ANYTHING you feel is important to you.

We've already had a good response from our visits to business premises just before Christmas.

It was great getting out there in Burnham to visit and talk face to face with some of the businesses the other day.

There are certainly a lot of aligned thoughts and ideas for Burnham business as a whole and the wider community. The chamber will discuss what to do next.

It was sad to see quite a few businesses closed in the afternoon.

We didn't manage to get to everyone- there are just so many businesses. BUT you will all get the opportunity. It seemed a lot of businesses are coming back to work on 6th January from the Christmas break.

We will arrange drop-in sessions in the new year. Will keep everyone informed.

Thomas Vernau will be dropping into as many Burnham-on-Crouch businesses as possible on Wednesday 18th and be asking for just a few minutes to talk about what you would like or need more support with as a business, in order for us to obtain a general understanding of the local business landscape. No-Strings.

We're here to help businesses in Burnham and the surrounding areas and want to be more proactive and begin 2020 running.

Also, there will be a drop-in session for people who run businesses from home. This will be confirmed at a later date.
