We are seeking a temporary part time Early Years Practitioner

If you have a passion for supporting children through their early years education, this position could be perfect for you.

Be warned, a "normal day" may include some, or all, of the following:-

FUN STUFF ……

You may be asked to read the same story over and over again whilst answering countless "why" questions.

Your creative skills will be tested when you are expected to help make a stack of boxes and yogurt pots into whatever vision the children have in their imagination.

Crazyness is a requirement, be prepared to dance and sing as if nobody is watching.

A great imagination is a must, that muddy mixture accompanied with a spoon and a smiley face really is a delicious chocolate cake.

Be prepared to go outside in all weathers, jump in muddy puddles, run around, enjoy our mud kitchen, digging, gardening and anything else you can think of.

SERIOUS STUFF .....

Be able to rapidly count heads of fast-moving children and nose wiping skills are a must.

Have an acceptable knowledge of child development and know how to plan activities to extend on the children's learning.

Remember that every child is different. We all have different ideas of "normal life". Getting to know the children is paramount and they must all be treated equally.

Recruitment will be subject to DBS checks and references.

Temporary short term contract through to Summer 2025.

Hours to be confirmed plus emergency cover and staff training cover. Salary to meet national minimum wage.
