The sun ☀️ is shining the Claydon Courtyard is open today from 10am.

Pop in and visit our amazing independent business, take a walk on the public rights of way and pick up a cooling drink from the Phoenix Kitchen. 🥤

Please be aware that the Phoenix Kitchen will not be serving food today, 28th May, but plenty of cake, snacks and drinks are available.
Please note the Phoenix Kitchen will also be closing at 3pm today.

Whilst Claydon House and Gardens are closed until Saturday 6th June, Claydon Courtyard is still very much open.

Visit Claydon Courtyard this weekend to find amazing independent businesses, a peaceful and beautiful environment, tasty food and miles of public rights of way to explore.

We very much welcome dogs at Claydon and ask that you follow the and use the doggy bin located within the car park! 🐶

The sunshine is on its way ☀️ and there is no better place to enjoy it than Claydon Courtyard.

If you are planning to be visit Claydon this weekend please be aware that Claydon House and Gardens will be closed on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May. They will re-open on Monday 4th May.

Claydon Courtyard will be open as normal from 10am-4pm Thursday-Monday.

Remember we have free parking and many public rights of way to enjoy.

We are all very lucky to have so many public rights of ways across the countryside 🌳

Did you know that from March 2026 new legislation, Dogs (Protection of Livestock) (Amendment) Act 2025, came into force across the England and Wales, to strengthen the laws around livestock worrying.

Worrying livestock is not just about a dog chasing an animal. It includes running towards and circling, being off lead and not under control, barking at animals and attempting to chase livestock.

Even if your dog does not make physical contact with an animal, fear and stress can lead to injuries, miscarriage and even death.

You will be criminally liable, and the police now have the power to seize dogs, collect DNA, for investigation, impose fines or even prison sentences.

By following the Countryside Code you will be keeping the countryside clean, your pet and livestock safe and prevent a financial loss and devastation to a farmer.
