Oemleria cerasiformis (female) commonly known as the Indian Plum.
This is deciduous suckering shrub, native to the Pacific coast of North America. The unfurling foliage has a hint of fresh peas. Delicate flowers appear in late February. A dioecious plant with male and female flowers on separate plants scented of spice. Luckily we have both a male and female so we should see plum like fruit in the autumn.

Aurora Spain - Splitting the Spectrum

In this presentation, I will describe the physiology of colours and how they affect our moods. I will take a light-hearted look at personal colour preferences and what this says about an individual. I will ask you to consider how you have used each colour in your paintings. Finally, I will give you a toolkit of how you can effectively use colour in your artwork. This talk is supported with illustrations throughout.
