Hello, an update, we have put up official signage to discourage fly-tipping and the waste that has been dumped at VO will be removed this weekend.

It has come to the Parish Council's attention that people are dumping their garden waste into Vicarage Orchard.
We already have signs up stating please do not do this - as this open space is for the enjoyment of all.
Please note that fly-tipping is illegal.

10 years on, and what a transformation! Creating paths has not only made the orchard more accessible but has also allowed parts of the ground to rewild, promoting biodiversity and encouraging wildlife to thrive. Nature at its best! 🌿🍏

A few weekends ago some SC Parish Councillors and volunteers put down some fresh wood chips, creating some cleaner walkways for visors to use. If you would like to get involved with volunteering at Vicarage Orchard or any other SCPC project please get in touch.

We are organising our first Village Litter Pick of 2024 on Saturday 27th January 10am starting at Village Hall. All equipment supplied
Volunteers wanted please 😁

The SCPC Vicarage Orchard is having an accessible footpath fitted at the top - from gate to gate - in a horseshoe shape.

This is being done from Monday 22 Jan.
This is being half funded by SCPC and half grant funding from Buckingham and Villages Community Board.

SCPC hope to re-fit two new sturdier benches to replace the currently vandalised two benches in due course.

Also to note - planned tree works will also be happening there soon and some exciting news to follow on a SCPC and SC Primary Schools eco club collaboration 😁

Volunteers to help maintain the Vicarage Orchard are always welcome - please email the clerk if you are interested - thank you
