❗️DISAPPOINTING❗️

It has been brought to our attention that the inclusive swing has broke. We have had a number of messages regarding this swing seat being jumped on and misused so perhaps the screws has came loose.

This is truly disappointing considering the park has only been open for over 8 weeks. A LOT of hard work has went into raising funds to give the children a destination play park where they can spend as long or as little as they like.

PLEASE 🙏🏻 if your child/ren are going to the park to play unsupervised PLEASE ask them to be respectful. The equipment cost SO much money and for example of the inclusive swing it is thousands to replace which wont be replaced if broken. This would be disappointing as we want to have items at the park to be inclusive to all!

WE NOW HAVE A FENCE 🥳🥳🥳

huge shout out to everyone who has helped bring our new fence at Linzee Gordon Play Park to life over the past few weeks … it’s not been all plain sailing but we got there 👏

Special thanks to Kiers for coming in and carrying out the joinery work your effort and skill have made a massive difference. We’re also incredibly grateful to Neil Sweeney and Charlie Whyte & Elizabeth McIntyre & Neil Sharp at Kiers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes organising and managing the joinery side. The hard work and commitment you’ve all shown really shines through in the quality of the finished fence.

A big thank you as well to the Community Justice Team at Moray Council for putting in the fence posts and concrete we couldn’t have done it without you all.

Tp David Robertson for helping us secure posts from Elgin to Buckie.

Travis Perkins Buckie branch, for kindly donating some fence posts

To the Buckie and district community council for sponsoring the rest of the fence

To GRS construction for suppling our concrete

To Charles Milne who helped us when we had a blip in the road and helped with the removal.

It’s amazing to see the community come together once again to make improvements to the park. The new fence makes the space safer, more secure, helps keep dogs out, and most importantly, helps keep our children safe inside.

We hope you’re all as chuffed with the new fence as we are thank you again to everyone involved! 💚

A huge thank you to:

We hope these benches provide a place for families, groups, and friends to enjoy many happy picnics and days out.

🚧✨ Exciting Update! ✨🚧

You might have spotted the new fence going up, yay! 🎉

This has been something many of you asked for to help keep our little ones safe from the road and stop dogs from wandering into the play area

While the concrete sets, we kindly ask everyone to please remind children not to touch, shake, or kick the posts. We’ve already had a few incidents and if the posts get damaged before they set, we sadly won’t be able to replace them.

Let’s all help look after our new fence so it can do its job keeping our kids safe! 💪🌈

Thanks so much for your support ❤️

As many of you know, the park is maintained by Moray Council. While we’re always happy to listen, there are some things we can’t directly manage ourselves. If you notice anything that needs attention such as full bins, dog mess, damaged equipment, or antisocial behaviour — please report it as soon as possible via the council website or antisocial behaviour to the police direct
http://www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_88163.html

We’d really appreciate the support of parents and carers in helping deter of damage to any equipment at the park, therefore if you see anything please report to the link above.

⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️

🚲 Bikes and Scooters should be left in the bike shed and are not permitted on the equipment

🗑️ Rubbish – please use bins provided to help keep the park, clean and tidy

🐕 Dogs are not permitted in the playpark not all children like dogs and this will also help stop any dog mess in the grounds.

⛔️Smoking/ Va**ng- is not permitted in the play park, once our fencing is up there will be signage to state this.

We’d hate for the actions of a small minority to take away from what is such a fantastic space for the whole community. Thank you all for helping us keep it safe, welcoming, and fun for everyone.

Hello 💙

We just want to say a massive thank you to every single one of you who has come up to us at the park with your kind words, positive comments, and support. It honestly means the world to us.

It’s fair to say we’ve never seen a park or anywhere in Buckie so busy🤣! Seeing families and children enjoying the space together is exactly what we dreamed of when we first started this fundraising journey. It truly has become the destination park we hoped to create.

None of this would have been possible without you all. Whether you came along to events, handed in raffles, bought lucky numbers, supported through your businesses, or helped through grants and trusts we are so incredibly grateful. Every bit of support has made a difference.

We’ve absolutely loved seeing all the happy faces at the park—children playing with their friends and families, parents joining in the fun or even getting a well-earned sit down on the benches (we see you 😄). It’s been such a special few days, and we really hope you love it just as much as we do.

🐣 We’d love to hear from you 🐣
what’s your favourite piece of equipment? And what do you love most about the park? Let us know in the comments 👇

A quick note about the mound in the middle: it’s a man-made natural hill that will soon be grass-seeded. It will be fenced off for a few weeks while the grass establishes.

Over the next 2–3 weeks, we’ll also be adding:
• 4 picnic benches
• 1 additional standard bench
• An L-shaped fence running past the zip line and connecting to the existing fencing
• Two large access gates

There will be plenty of seating, and the park will be fully enclosed and safe for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you again for everything you’ve helped make this happen 💙

Just a little explanation about these two swings:

“The You & Me” swing seat encourages play and interaction between different generations whether it’s parents and children, teachers and students, older siblings and younger ones. So if we could stick to these guidelines to prevent the swing being broken it would be greatly appreciated 🧑‍🧒

“ The Inclusive Swing” The rounded shapes of the Inclusive Swing Seat attract children of all ages and abilities. The self-initiated movement, the great ergonomic and the feeling of security while swinging will make children return again and again for more play. For children who need assistance entering, or support for their seated position, the one-hand operated harness offers comfortable grips and security. This seat is quite expensive therefore would also appreciate it looks really enticing to tip it however if this breaks it will not be replaced. Therefore we ask for you all to talk to your children and remind them to be respectful of the equipment when playing 🙏🏻

We are absolutely thrilled with everyone having a great time 💫💫

🗣️CALLING ALL CO-OP MEMBERS🗣️

✨We have been selected for the voting for the co-op foundation✨

Thanks to all the voters so far 🙏🏻 if you haven’t already it would be greatly appreciated. This funding could add an extra piece of equipment or be used for materials to the play park. Bringing a great destination play park to Buckie 🤗
