A career in the fire services can take you off in a number of different directions, you could choose to become a blue light driver or qualified to lead a team at operational incidents, this past week has been one of celebration for us as Firefighter Robin Hughes past his incident command course and is now able to take the fire engine out as the officer in charge and since becoming qualified he has already dealt with a number of incidents, one of them leading a sector with our partner agencies to help with the evacuation of a number of properties during the recent WW2 bomb incident in Plymouth.
Robin has worked hard to achieve this milestone by running numerous scenario drills and a large amount of self study, he attended a five day course where he had to prove he could safely run various incidents to a satisfactory conclusion, he performed to the highest of standards.
Nice one Robin, we are all proud of your efforts and results and how you have helped make our station and team that little bit more resilient. ๐๐๐ป
