Liberal Democrats in Worcestershire are opposing the Government’s police reform proposals and question the need to centralise power into Birmingham. This would result in West Mercia merging with the urban forces of the West Midlands.

Since 2015, GP surgeries have had to serve hundreds more homes each, and over a thousand practices have closed.

The result is simple: too many people struggling to get an appointment when they need one.

We are calling for a new approach: no doctors, no development. When new homes are built, they must come with new or expanded GP surgeries — properly funded and ready before people move in.

Our councillors are continuing to push for roads to be re-surfaced in our area, some are in a shocking state.

We will keep you informed of when we know which roads have been confirmed and when they will be.

Following years of chasing Cllr Josh Robinson has had confirmation that Blackmore Lane will be re-surfaced in August.

Rachel Reeves has a choice. She can stand up for those people and act now. Or she can stand back and watch them struggle.

Our plan would bring down prices at the pump by 12p per litre and keep Britain moving.

Great to see so many people out on this damp Sunday afternoon to support Greg James cycling through Bromsgrove as part of his 1000km cycle

We have so many great groups and sporting facilities across our district.

The Lib Dems want to support them to enable them to thrive and bring great things to our area

Therefore we are delighted to see £1.25 million in the District budget tomorrow to support this.

With Lib Dem councillors who have experienced of working on our High Street, we know the pressure it is under. We have long called for more events on our High Street to help increase footfall.

One of our priorities for this fund would be to support our High Street.

Whilst council funding is tight, there are government grants available to councils.

Like you we are sick of seeing flooded roads!

That is why we are calling on the county council to set aside £1 million from their grant next year to help with drainage issues across the county.

This week there are budgets being set at both Bromsgrove District Council amd Worcestershire County Council.

Your 7 Lib Dem district councillors and 3 Lib Dem county councillors have been working hard for months pushing forward your priorities.

As we have always said we will stand up for the interests of Bromsgrove, so we wanted to share with you directly before the vote some of our top priorities.

Today you will hear a lot from Government about SEND provision. Locally we have been championing improvements to SEND provision for years.

This is why we are proposing a feasibility study be committed to by Worcestershire County Council this coming financial year to look at the assets we own and how they could be used for smaller SEND provision.

All children deserve the best start in life and we have been listening to parents who have told us the clear need for a wide variety of SEND provision across the county, this week we hope all parties agree to this and vote with the Liberal Democrats.
