So I’ve had a few kids that have gone pink using this even though parents allot it before coming to the setting and I apply throughout the day. No wonder. If you have it, bin it

⚠ Kids sun cream test fail | Nivea’s Kids Protect & Care SPF50+ failed our SPF test, falling far short of the SPF50 claim on the bottle. A further test on a second sample found the measured SPF was even lower.

In response, Beiersdorf, maker of Nivea, told us: ‘The safety of our products is of utmost importance. Nivea Sun prides itself on its decades of experience in sun care, and when this product was independently tested in 2019 it achieved an SPF of 62. When we re-checked this batch, the result was a UVA protection factor of 25.8. Based on this data and our comprehensive quality requirements, we disagree with the Which? findings.’

Some useful information because it’s all a bit confusing;
* if you,child or someone you live with shows syptoms of either;
-a new OR persistent cough
- a temperature of 37.8 or above
- a loss of taste or smell
- also note, sore throat, fatigue, diarrhoea and vomiting have been noted as symptoms in children
You and anyone you live with must not attend any setting, book a test and isolate until results are returned.

* if you have a negative test you may stop isolating as soon as you have recovered from your symptoms.

* if you have a positive result you must isolate with the people you live with for 14 days

* if you are contacted via track and trace as you have been into contact with someone who has recieved a positive result you and anyone you live with must isolate for 14 days, EVEN if you receive a negative test result.

* if I receive a track and trace call to say any of the children I care for have recieved a positive result I will also have to isolate for 14 days with my family, along with any other children that share the setting.

* if your child is sent home from a setting as someone in their bubble has recieved a positive test result your child must isolate for 14 day, at this point the people they live with do not have to isolate. If the child begins to show symptoms you must then book a test and everyone you live with must isolate until you receive a negative result.

We have vacancies!!
Here at Little Chickadee childminding I offer a home from home environment where the children learn through play and have lots of fun. I am an ofsted registered childminder based in Bromborough, near Bromborough village. I do school drop offs and pick ups from Raeburn Primary school. I have a few EYFS (0-5 year old) spaces available with immediate starts Tuesday-Friday. I also have 1 after school space available on a Thursday and a before and after school space available on a Friday. I offer funding and except childcare vouchers.
