Opening times update ⏰

In September Roadford Activity Centre is open Roadford Lake Activity Centre open Tues / Wed / Fri / Sat / Sun (closed Mondays and Thursdays).

Look out for our new evening sessions! We will be open for evening hire and launch on Friday 4 September and Friday 11 September, 4pm to 7pm.

We can't wait for the Lakeside Session tonight! 🎊🎧

THIS FRIDAY 🤩

Good food, drinks and music! 😍

Join us at Roadford Lake Cafe and Venue on Friday 28 August for our next Evening by the Lake and new Lakeside Sessions!

Take in those gorgeous lake views with delicious food, great coffee and maybe a little tipple or two!

Here's how the day looks:

☕️ 10am - 4pm: Normal cafe service

🌅 4pm-5pm: The cafe is closed to reset ready for the evening!

🍾 5pm - 8pm: Doors open for coffee, sweet treats, cider, wine and small plates from the kitchen (food served from 5pm until 7pm).

🎶 6pm-11pm: Lakeside Sessions! Open Deck Night starts up in the venue hosted by fatbellyco from Slim Radio London (Tim Coleman) with the bar open! 🍻

Budding DJs (or Pros!) come along! Bring your USB or records and have a sesh on the decks! 🎧Tell your friends for a great night out by the lake!

🦎 Check out this fabulous entry from our 2025 Love Your Lakes Photography Competition!

Submitted to the Young Explorers category by Esmay Burley, it shows a common lizard at Fernworthy Reservoir.

On a sunny day, keep an eye out for these little creatures basking on rocks or stone walls around our grounds. But you have to be quick—they move fast!

Many of our South West Lakes Trust grounds offer prime seats for two amazing astronomical shows Wednesday evening! Catch the partial solar eclipse from around 6.15pm to 8pm and then the stunning Perseid meteor shower peak later into the night. ☄️

Pack a blanket, bring your eclipse glasses and spend a magical evening under the stars! 💫
