The Isle of Skye and Raasay Committee met today (1 June 2026).

Among the key items discussed and agreed were:
📌 Options to develop sites in Portree as ‘Mobility Hubs’ were provisionally backed by members
📌 A roads update detailed the progress on the works taking place in different locations across Skye & Raasay.
📌 A Community Regeneration Fund grant of £39,493.16 was approved to furnish the Portree Community Centre with modern, professional and accessible lighting and sound equipment

Our Exhibition in the currently mothballed Elgol Primary school is now open for the season.

Manned solely by volunteers, we aim to be open Wednesday - Sunday, 11-3.

This year we are celebrating 150 years of the school, with a dedicated exhibition coming soon.

The school also showcases and sells work by local artists, makers and photographers.
