Friends of Eastwood Farm are a local group of volunteers who actively work to help keep this unique riverside open space for all members of the community.

🌿 What a lovely morning at Eastwood Farm yesterday! 🌿

👋 18 people came along to help look after this place, and with the sun shining we got so much done.

🛠️ We repaired the broken step by the horse field, cleared debris and build-up from the steps down to Beeses, and some litter picking too.

☕ Then it was back to Shedquarters for the all important tea, biscuits and a well-earned chat!

🙏 Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a productive morning. 💚

🌿 It’s tomorrow! 🌿

Our next volunteer work party is tomorrow, Saturday 5 September, 10am–12pm. We’ll be repairing the steps by the horses, litter picking, clearing the steps down to Beeses, and generally looking after the place.

Come along and help us look after Eastwood Farm — there’ll even be tea and biscuits afterwards! ☕

🌿 One week to go! 🌿

Our next volunteer work party is Saturday, 5 September, from 10am–12pm.

Come along for a morning outdoors, help look after Eastwood Farm, and enjoy some tea and biscuits with us afterwards! ☕🌳

Everyone is welcome — no experience needed, and we provide the tools, gloves and guidance.

👣 Jo Moore Memorial Walk 👣

Yesterday, around 60 people came together at Eastwood Farm to retrace the final walk that Jo led as part of Bristol Walk Fest earlier this year.

It was wonderful to see so many people turn out to remember Jo and celebrate her love for Eastwood Farm — a lovely reminder of the many people whose lives she touched in our local community.

Fittingly, we even spotted the heron from our logo along the way! 🪶

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and, to quote Jo, remember to “love and care for your local nature reserve.” 💚

👣 Jo Moore Memorial Walk 👣

A reminder that this Saturday, as a tribute to our longstanding Chair Jo, we will be walking the same route that Jo led as part of the Bristol Walk Fest earlier this year.

We can share her love for our Nature Reserve and our own personal memories with the community. 💚

This circular guided walk will traverse peaceful woods and water meadows along the river, following the red waymarked route to Beese’s.
