🚉🎓 What a day for Bristol and the West of England.

Yesterday marked a major milestone in the transformation of Bristol Temple Quarter, with the new Eastern Entrance at Bristol Temple Meads and the University of Bristol's Temple Quarter Campus, and the Harbour Walkway officially open.

The new entrance creates a direct connection between Temple Meads, the campus and communities in South and East Bristol, making it easier for people to access education, jobs and opportunities.

The new Campus will home business, innovation, digital engineering, artificial intelligence, cyber security, advanced telecommunications and quantum technologies – fields that are not only advancing rapidly, but which will define the future of our economy and society.

The Harbour Walkway will improve connections around Temple Quarter, linking the new campus with new routes for pedestrians and cyclists.

We have today published the final draft of a masterplan framework for St Philip’s Marsh.

The final draft document follows extensive public and stakeholder engagement, including two previous rounds of engagement in Summer 2025 and early 2026, which has helped to shape this latest version.

If endorsed by the council, the masterplan will help to guide future development alongside the Local Plan, helping to ensure delivery remains aligned with the BTQ partners’ shared vision for the area.

Bristol Temple Quarter Limited Liability Partnership (BTQ LLP) and Bristol City Council have today (16.06.26) published the final draft of a masterplan framework for St Philip’s Marsh.

💰We're delighted to announce the first recipients of the Bristol Temple Quarter Community Fund!

In our first round of funding, 17 organisations making a real difference across Temple Quarter and its' surrounding areas have received a share of £45,000.

We are pleased to have today launched the latest version of draft planning guidance for St Philip’s Marsh for public engagement, marking another milestone for BTQ.

The emerging Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) sets out a clear framework to guide development and will be one of the tools that will help turn this long-term vision into delivery.

If adopted, the SPD will guide future development alongside the Local Plan, helping to ensure delivery remains aligned with the partners’ shared vision.

Residents, businesses and stakeholders are invited to feed back on the draft SPD, and help shape the future of St Philip’s Marsh.

This public engagement focuses on the guidance in a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which will guide development in St Philip’s Marsh in the future.
