A month back on social media and we’ve loved reconnecting.
If something here has resonated — even quietly — we’d love to talk.
You’re very welcome.

A glimpse of the ordinary magic here: cups of tea, reflective conversations, laughter in the office and difficult calls held gently
Not glamorous. Deeply meaningful.

Fostering is rewarding, and it’s also hard.

We believe carers need care too.

That means supervision that feels like thinking together, support that shows up early (not only at crisis), and a team who stay curious rather than critical.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Honest question…

If you could tell people one thing about fostering that often gets missed, what would it be?
(No perfect answers. Just real ones.)

We don’t do corporate fostering.

We do knowing names, holding feelings, showing up, and believing that relationships change lives.

At Amicus, we work therapeutically, which means curiosity over judgement, connection over correction, and support that doesn’t disappear when things get hard. This is the Amicus way

✨ Well… this feels like a good time to pop back up ✨

After a little social media hibernation, we’ve re‑emerged with news we couldn’t not share.
Ofsted visited Amicus Foster Care in February and judged us OUTSTANDING in all areas.
Yes, all areas. We’re still blushing.

https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/4/SC389720

What they saw (and what we see every day):
💚 Children who feel safe, loved and truly listened to
💚 Foster carers who feel held, supported and part of a real community
💚 A deeply therapeutic, trauma‑informed way of working that runs through everything we do
💚 A small agency with a big heart and a strong sense of family

We don’t do “corporate fostering”.
We do relationships, belonging, laughter, hard moments held well, and a belief that people matter.

If you’re: 👀 thinking about becoming a foster carer
🔄 already fostering and wondering about transferring
🤔 curious about a different, more human way of doing this work

We’d really love to talk.
(Also… massive gratitude to our children, carers and team. This is your Outstanding.)

💬 Drop us a message. No pressure. Just a chat.

🌙✨ Ramadan Mubarak from Amicus ✨🌙

As Ramadan begins, everyone at Amicus would like to send our warmest wishes to all of our young people, foster carers, staff and wider community who are observing this special month.

Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion, generosity and togetherness values that sit at the very heart of fostering. We are proud to support and celebrate the diverse faiths and cultures within our Amicus family, and we are committed to ensuring that every child and young person feels respected, understood and supported in observing what matters most to them.

May this month bring peace, blessings and strength to all who are fasting and reflecting. 🌙🤍
