Since 2016, Underfall Yard has gotten involved with the festivities along the harbour in July. Now, for the first time, we’ve been made an official location for the Bristol Harbour Festival, as well as this year’s charity partner.

Celebrate ten years of Yard Fest this July with our biggest event yet! A range of fantastic live music and DJs, great food and drink from local legends, and maritime exhibitions that showcase the history of the Floating Harbour, as well as invite you to take to the water!

We will be revealing more as we get closer to the big day, so make sure to keep your eyes on our social pages.

If you’ve visited the Yard this past week, you may have heard this loud flushing noise. This is a sign that the dredgers are here!

Used to suck and excavate all the mud and silt in the harbour, there have been many types of dredger vessels used in the harbour over the years. It’s been a while since the black pipes have been in operation, though, making this time extra special.

A new vessel is up on our slipway, and she's quite a catch!

Underfall Yard is proud to have B.E. Tunnara 3 on site for some antifouling painting before she gets back to the water to catch some fish.

Local friend of the Yard and artist Terry Williams is hosting an art sale this Sunday, 21st June, to raise funds for Underfall Yard.

The site's terracotta buildings and traditional workshops stand out immensely in the Floating Harbour, making them perfect subjects for his great sketches and watercolour work.

Take part in the biggest free-to-attend event in the South West! We are taking applications for musicians to perform at Underfall Yard during Bristol Harbour Festival on Saturday 18th, and Sunday 19th of July.

From solo or duo acts, to small choirs and a capella groups, we would love to hear from you and join our programme filled with community choirs that showcase the talent hiding in every corner of our wonderful city

We are excited to announce that groups such as Gathering Voices, Frampton Shantymen and Bristol Folk Choir will be joining us, but we still have 30- and 60-minute slots open throughout Saturday 18th and the morning of Sunday 19th.

Bristol residents are taking to the skies... briefly before landing in the water.

This Sunday is Grassroot Communities' 2nd edition of Bristol Birdman! The staff at Underfall Yard have never seen our part of the harbour so busy and full of activity, and we can't wait to see you all again.

Taking place from 11am - 3pm, Underfall Cafe will be open during the event, making it a perfect place to watch all the action!

Episode 6 saw Underfall Yard go back in time with horse-drawn carriages, working forges, and machinery in action. It was an honour to be a part of such a fantastic show; will the Ironworks shop make a return in season 2? That's still a mystery...

This month sees the Yard host not one, not two, but FOUR wedding events! We are so excited to be a part of the special day for so many couples. To make sure each day can be perfect the brides and grooms, we will be closing our site early to the public on the following days:

June 27th - 1pm
