We raised around 80 frog tadpoles in our nature hub. All spawn was collected from the wildlife park ponds and cucumber was the preferred food.

Raising them on an aquarium gives them a head start in life, as the ducks and moorhens make a huge dent in the population.

They are now big and fast enough to evade many predators, and will soon develop legs and begin hunting invertebrates. We look forward to seeing tiny frogs in the meadow in the coming months!

A slow- worm survey followed by releasing the tadpoles! They are big and fast enough to be safe in the pond.

Then we have a glow-worm talk by about their life cycle, and the project we have at the park, including the chance to see them!

Dawn chorus at the park!

5 minutes research on Google scholar shows that even 20 minutes of immersion into nature can lower blood pressure, relieve stress and therefore aid the body and healing processes. Put aside 20 minutes today, listen to the birds.
