Based in Speedwell, Bristol, we offer young people between the ages of 12 and 20 the opportunity to participate in a multitude of activities, developing great personal skills along the way. As part of the Air Cadet Organisation, we are sponsored by the RAF, but there is no obligation for cadets to join the Armed Forces. The skills and experiences you can develop as a cadet will give you a head-sta

rt in either the services or civilian life. From flying to map reading, shooting to first aid training, the cadet experience is as varied as it is unique. The 1860 Squadron Motto is, “Voluntas Vincendi,” which means, “The Will to Conquer.” If you’re ready to conquer some new challenges, then come on in, look around, and see what you could do.

*All blood in the pictures is fake using golden syrup and food colouring*

This weekend 4 cadets went on a YFA course to gain more skills that'll be useful in the event of a First Aid incident.

On Saturday they were delivered lessons on various topics with lots of practical elements to help them understand better.

On Sunday they did a few more lessons followed by their assessments of simulated scenarios which they all passed.

Well done to all of you!

Tonight WWO Clothier came down to the squadron to promote FS Pailkar to CWO Pailkar. Well done!
