This made me both irritated (what a terrible choice of words! Emasculating to be a loving father? And a Papoose is a Native American term for a child that should only be used in that community: the word is incorrectly used) and made me chuckle, cos it's so wrong!

Fortunately most of the Twittersphere don't agree in the slightest. Slings and carriers are no longer niche items but widely used and there are more than enough of us to be able to refute this ridiculous idea with ease.

Families where the fathers are loving and involved do better: the long term outcomes for kids are much more positive. Dads matter. And close contact builds connections. It's biochemistry.

Not much carrying is going on here at the moment as we are in an 'I'm independent' stage, but it's great that the dolls are getting a go (I miss carrying everyday - it goes so quick - hold your babies and enjoy carrying for soon they will be off) 👣❤️
