"Mental Health Awareness Week ❤️

Last week was a chance to pause and recognise just how important it is to look after your mental health, especially when your child is in hospital.

Our Bristol House wanted to offer families a small moment of care. Thanks to some incredibly kind local businesses, we were able to provide a care package for every room, filled with thoughtful essentials.

Little Willow's Wish Charity delivered 21 care boxes, Planted Skincare donated organic body butters, and Homemade at 54 shared their handmade soaps.

We’re so grateful for this support and for the reminder to care for one another!"

We’re so excited to share ‘I’m Gonna Be (79 Miles)’ with you! 🎶

Made in collaboration with McDonald's and Pixie Lott, this new version represents the average 79 miles parents and carers travel to be by their child’s side in hospital. Every mile tells a story of love, strength and determination.
All proceeds from the track will go directly to Ronald McDonald House UK and Ronald McDonald House Ireland to help more families stay close to their child in hospital.

When a child is in hospital, family stays.

We see it every day. Parents and carers who are exhausted, scared, hopeful, grieving and incredibly determined, often all at once. At our Bristol House, we stay with them.

New name, same heart. ❤️

Today, our Ronald McDonald Bristol House is proud to share Ronald McDonald House UK’s modernised brand.

You will notice new colours, new words, and new visuals. But what matters most has not changed. Our commitment to the families in our community, and the way we support them when they need us most.

When a child is in hospital, families do not just visit. They stay. We see it every day in our House. Parents and carers who are exhausted, scared, hopeful, grieving and incredibly determined, often all at once. Our modernised brand, including our new name and look, has been shaped around that reality. It reflects the care, comfort and strength offered here by Ronald McDonald House UK and the practical and emotional support we offer that helps families stay close to their child and to each other.

We were delighted to welcome back Aggreko, who kindly gave their time to help tidy and refresh our garden. It’s now a calm, welcoming space for families and staff to enjoy, and we’re so grateful for their support. ❤️ The garden must be feeling the love too, as we’ve even had two birds make themselves at home at Bristol House 🪺🐦

A huge 'thank you' to Amanda Toner and the Gloucestershire McDonald's Incito Group for their incredibly generous donation of Easter eggs and toiletries, which helped make Easter feel that bit brighter for the families staying with us. Their kindness meant we could share treats and essentials at a time when small comforts really matter.

Support like this makes a genuine difference to the families we care for, and we can’t thank you enough 💛

We’d love to introduce you to Team 'Orla’s Journey', an incredible group of supporters who have gone above and beyond to raise vital funds for our charity. ❤️

This fundraising is very close to their hearts. Orla’s parents, Victoria and Jamie, stayed at the Bristol House while their daughter Orla was placed into an induced coma following what was expected to be a simple surgery to correct her squint.

As a way of giving back, Team Orla’s Journey have taken on a number of amazing challenges, including the Bath Half Marathon, a quiz night and a 29‑mile sponsored walk. Our Community Fundraiser Ericka also popped down to Bristol Hospital to cheer them on along the way.

We want to say a huge thank you to this wonderful team for their dedication, hard work and continued support.

Thank you for all your support Jack! ✨
