Vinylman

Vinylman Vinylman Enterprises. Vinylman Music Fairs Brighton. Event promotion and music retailing primarily Vinyl record sales.

Vinylman speaks, why do people buy records? Well first it's about the music, when you heard it, what you were doing as it played, it's communal, it's cultural, uplifting and essential, the music that is, and how much fun to have it on a format, share it and show it to your loved ones to your friends. It goes like this you spot it on the shelf, just the spine, you pull the LP out, run your hand acr

oss the cover, gloss or matt, pull the record out, hold it just so, don't touch the play surface and place in on the deck [dansette , high-fi or tecnnics], put the stylus on the groove, hiss of play before the music starts and then Wham, well maybe not wham...
You're playing records, you are part of a culture, you have a physical, audio memory that will stay with you forever, it's not download it's not file share, it's 3 minutes ahead of it's time.

The annual great big Record and music Fair at the Brighton Centre 16th Feb [on the seafront] was a huge success with over 100 stalls and nearly 600 people through the doors, young and not so, boys and girls, it was far and away our best Fair in years!
Sales of vinyl; alone have doubled in the past year, and our Fair is part of the boom in physical retailing as apposed to internet retail. It was a glorious sunny day and a half marathon was running on the front but still they came.

Our amazing, stupendous, bigger than colossus 100 dealers, 600 customers Brighton record fare on the sea front 16/02/14....

Hello Vinyl fans, i have just bought a fab collection of Beatles Who and Stones LPs, they are beautiful, pre 1970 copies, lovely condition, heavy card covers, they look and feel so great, such a shame to sell them. It's sometimes hard being Vinylman but my idea is if i sell a few pieces [rekuds], then i can buy some bits and maybe keep a few for myself, for a while. Charlotte put this site together and is teaching an old dog new tricks, only two weeks to go. A freind of mine says "to be fair, the Vinylman Fair is the best Fair in Brighton, and i say heh?, i'm getting pretty excited, see you there, Vinyl.
