156,000 appeals are waiting to be heard, an increase of 48% in 1 year Ministry of Justice figures show. The length of time taken to close a case has surged to a staggering 65 weeks.

1,500 criminals from overseas have been given free homes because they cannot be deported.

929 of them have had their asylum claims and appeals rejected, the Home Office has admitted this and yet they remain in our country.
