Last Saturday we held our Craven Wood Shared Future session, a visioning workshop that invited us to travel into the future and imagine what Craven Wood could become.
Bringing together volunteers, local organisations, community partners and people with a range of knowledge and experience, we explored what we'd love to see in the woodland over the coming years, and what practical steps we can take to get there.
The conversations covered everything from biodiversity, water management and woodland resilience to citizen science, volunteering, accessibility, education, arts and community events. There was a real sense of possibility, with so many thoughtful ideas emerging and a shared willingness to work together.
We're now bringing all of those ideas together into a report and starting to shape them into a practical plan for the future of Craven Wood. This is just the beginning, and we're looking forward to building on the momentum and growing a wider community around the woodland.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and especially to Dylan Walker for facilitating such an inspiring time-travelling session and helping us think boldly about the future.
Here's to the next chapter for Craven Wood!
