We are seven students running on a joint platform, Transform Sussex, in next month’s Students’ Union elections. We will be posting more on how we can represent and help you in our specific roles over the next week, so be sure to look out for that!
You have told us that you are concerned and frustrated about the lack of on-campus affordable housing, University cuts to funding for student activities, the lack of study space, and perpetuation of attainment gaps. When elected we promise to address these concerns among others and fight to make a real difference for all students at the University of Sussex.
We want to make the SU relevant and responsive to your needs. We will provide you with a voice to challenge and demand more from a University management who are currently failing to put your learning first. As your Students’ Union, we will loudly ask ‘where is our money going?’ and call for genuine transparency from the University.
Together, we can raise expectations for what it means to be a student at Sussex. We need as many hands on deck as possible to win, message the page to get involved in whatever way you want to.
