Meet Barny Bear, Barny has come to play with us at pre-school. Like lots of our children Barny has been getting ready for big school, we have dressed Barny in his new school uniform, we have talked about what he might have in his school bag and today we have been talking about what dinner time might be like at big school. The children have been excited to share their experiences of school so far, what colour their uniforms are going to be and visits to school they have been or are going on 🥰

👯‍♀️School Leavers🏃‍♂️
Letters will be coming home over the next week regarding upcoming sports days and a magical dance show. We are looking forward to celebrating these special events with our school leavers and their families. The children have all been amazing and have worked very hard. It will be lovely to see as many of you as possible, who are able to attend. Any further questions please speak to a member of staff 😊

🦨Animal man visit🐍
We are excited to announce we have booked the animal man/lady to visit nursery again, it was a huge success last time and we want to ensure all the children have the opportunity to experience, learn and get up close to some fascinating creatures.
It is booked for Thursday 25th June, 9.30-10.30, any children who do not attend nursery that day are very welcome to come along with an adult. 🦉🦗

🎒✨ Preparing for the Next Big Adventure to school ✨🎒

As some of our children get ready for their transition to school, we have been busy supporting them every step of the way to help them feel confident, excited, and ready for their next chapter.
Through a range of activities, we have been encouraging independence, building confidence, developing social skills, and helping children become familiar with school routines. From self-care skills and managing belongings to listening, turn-taking, and following instructions.
We have a school teddy bear wearing a uniform, we have been talking about starting school, sharing stories, answering questions, and celebrating the exciting journey ahead, some of the children's teachers have already been into nursery to see them and we know some children have been to visit their new school too. Our goal is to ensure that every child feels happy, secure, and ready to embrace new opportunities.
We are so proud of how much they have grown and cannot wait to see them flourish in their new school environments. 🌟

Pre-school had lots of fun yesterday mixing shaving foam, glue, paints and glitter, they used their hands to feel and mix, as well as paintbrushes and spatulas. Lots of mark making with the tools and their fingers, and lots of lovely descriptive language used "Slimy, wet, gooey, rainbow, colours, sparkly, squelchy." 😊
