Aims
The project aims: “to transform an unused area of land owned by Bridport Town Council into a shared community space using sustainable practices to both aid access whilst conserving and enhancing the natural ecology, and promoting well-being, education and quiet enjoyment for all sectors of the local community”.

River-fly monitoring continues within the LNR. This little chap is a flat- bodied stone clinger. After this nymph stage they transform into the Yellow Mayfly. They require highly oxygenated water and are a key biological indicator of good water quality if found in sufficient numbers.

I'd like to say a big thank you to the lovely lady I just met on the footpath between New Zealand and South Mill cottages. She very kindly removed a huge pile of dog poo that had been left right in front of the Asker Meadows notice board. She says she always carries a spare bag just in case, but she really shouldn't have to cope with dog poo left by less caring dog owners! 🫂😊👏🏼
