A funeral service for Maggie Ray will take place on 5th of March, at 11am at St Mary's Church, South Street, Bridport. Maggie was a former town councillor and mayor, as well as being a stalwart of the local branch.

So good to see that the Dorset Council team have managed to reinstate last winter's bus timetable - brilliant - what a relief.

In response to feedback from concerned residents, Dorset Council and First Bus have worked together to reinstate the previous winter timetable on the X51 and X53 services linking Weymouth, Dorchester, Bridport, Lyme Regis and Axminster.

Bridport Lib Dem town councillors Bev Thornton and Jonathan Bourbon were at the Harmony launch of their Access Wellbeing initiative. Bev is the council's representative at Harmony and Jonathan attended in his official capacity as Deputy Mayor. The new service holds sessions on Wednesdays between 1 and 3pm. It offers early access to different types of support depending on need, such as financial, work, housing or mental health. Bespoke 1:1 sessions can also be arranged. Great news for the Bridport area

Bridport Family Hub
Cllr. Bridget Bolwell visited the Bridport Family Hub recently. It is a welcoming and supportive environment based at the former Children’s Centre on Skilling Hill Rd. They offer activities and support services for families in the community. There are sessions that include ‘Tots on Tuesday’ and ‘Little Wrigglers’, baby massage, breastfeeding support, the Incredible Years Parenting courses, young parent nurture groups, family and youth advice sessions, ‘stay and play’ and a health visitor clinic.
