Libraries change lives through literacy and reading!
As well as reading being proven to have a positive benefit on mental health, reading can also provide information to help you improve both your physical and mental health. All libraries across the county have Reading Well Collections, with books chosen by experts to help support people living with both physical and mental health conditions. Books within these collections are free to reserve, have a 6 week loan period and incur no overdue charges. Individual libraries also have collections of books on Baby Loss, Death & grief, menopause and women's and men's wellness.

Libraries change lives through literacy and reading!
When someone who loves reading but can't get to the library for health, mobility or caring reasons, it can be life-changing. Our FREE Home Library Service can provide a volunteer to collect books or audiobooks for them so they can continue their lifelong journey of reading. To find out more, visit www.somersetlibraries.co.uk or call 07814 079 831. There are currently vacancies for HLS volunteers in the Bridgwater area so please get in touch if you would like to help people to continue reading.
